It's been two weeks of training. Colonel Christoph checked in to see how we are doing. I assured him that we were taking full advantage of the free membership for teens at planet fitness.
Isaiah has gained three pounds now. This is going to be the hardest part. Eating 3500 calories a day is really hard! Unless of course you're on a diet to loose weight!

The Colonel advised to run 20 min with a target heart rate, so we've adjusted our strategy to accommodate that advice. Isaiah ran without stopping for 20 minutes and achieved 2 miles. It's hard to imagine that this is the same person who couldn't run more a quarter of a mile without stopping at this time last year.
Isaiah and I are in very different places in our fitness journey. For instance, he is very thin. The only thing thin on me is my hair. He is only 16. I am a very big number divisible by 16. But what we share in common is the goal to see each other succeed! I couldn't have a better work out partner.
